About the client:
Sportsvrse is an online platform with social media channels, a newsletter and podcast all designed to tell stories from athletes and sport business. The goal of my work is to grow the community of followers, listeners and readers. However, the client clearly explained how important it is that this community is really relevant and from their ideal target audience. Quality of follower is much better than quantity of follower in this circumstance.
Collaborations:
We consistently use the Instagram collaboration tool to partner with athletes or organisations in sport to shine a light on their stories or positive work they're doing. We recently partnered with professional boxer, Elliot Elimasi to share his story. We achieved 833 likes and 12,800+ views. For a new page with 200 followers, we saw this as a big success and an example of the content we want to provide consistently.

Not only has this method massively helped us grow our community of relevant followers, but actually the page/person we collaborate with benefit massively. For free they get appealing graphics designed that tell their stories as well as some fantastic social reach!
Take the Elliot Elimasi collaboration as an example, this extra reach is HUGE for an upcoming athlete trying to establish himself in the sport. Building a following is crucial and these collaborations can help raise awareness!
Podcast:
I headed up the marketing for Season 1 of the Sportsvrse Podcast. We achieved over 10,000 views on Instagram for the short form clips.
I used my ability to understand the target audience, the Instagram algorithm and combine them to spot the key moments from the podcast that would perform best on socials.
It then required engaging editing methods to keep the watch time high. For me, there are three key metrics on reels:
Watch time (how watchable is the reel?), likes (how likeable is the reel?) and finally shares (how shareable is the reel?). These metrics were vital for success. Every reel we produced it was so important to make 1% improvements to try and improve each metric.
