About the client:


Worldwide1Z host 1v1 tournaments around Europe for a cash prize of £1000. They post a video of each event on YouTube. The cash prize changes lives of young, talented footballers and their families. The events attract huge attention and bring local communities together.


They also pride themselves on the eyes they bring to young footballers. Many of their contestants have gone onto make professional debuts or secure academy contracts. They really do make a positive impact on local communities and provide a platform for young people to showcase their skills. This is massively important and it's a mission that I am fully supportive of.


My Work:


Dublin Event - My first work with WW1Z was at their Dublin event. I was capturing raw social media content for Instagram reels and TikTok to promote their YouTube video. The videos received 20,000+ views and provided a different style of video to their content that hadn't been used before. It showed a more authentic and "BTS" approach to their social media content to really show off the incredible atmosphere and excitement on display at their events. It also helps to tease and promote the YouTube video release, which is ultimately the platform that they need to drive traffic to.


SwitchFootball - I then used my connection to SwitchFootball to collaborate on Instagram content with WW1Z. These collaborations received over 100,000 views and helped them secure collaborations with Pubity Sport and I'm Just Bait. Overall, these collaborations have millions of views across social platforms. The guys at WW1Z credited me with first introducing them to this approach, which is something I'm extremely proud of. It meant that they began to collaborate with the biggest football media pages, therefore promoting the events, YouTube videos and pushing their brand millions of engaged viewers in the football niche.


Sportsvrse - Most recently I connected my client Sportsvrse with WWW1Z to create a set of graphics that tell the deeper story of their work (impact on community, raising awareness of young talented footballers and supporting families). Again, this style of content hadn't been explored before. The collaboration was well received and also delivered Sportsvrse with their highest liked Instagram post at this point. As I mentioned, I think the impact WW1Z has on young people's lives is a really big part of their work.


Of course their content is clearly very entertaining for football fans (this is something they manage to display to viewers very well), but I felt that promoting the impact they have on local communities was an untapped opportunity. It's a different side to their work that is equally as important and can be a big attraction for securing investment, partners, sponsors etc, so I'm really pleased that I managed to introduce this style of content to them.
